International Folk Dance Competition is a great opportunity to the youth of INDIA to share the stage with the International Cultural and Dance Festival Artists where 250 professional International Artists will be performing from 10 Countries in the month of June and in the month of October.

It honors the artistic groups with First, Second and Third level winners with Rs.20,000, Rs.10,000 & Rs.5,000 Cash Prizes.(First Prize Winners will receive the Trophy of IFDC)

Competition is is open to all the residents of INDIA.

India is a land of varied cultures and traditions. Diversities in all spheres make the Indian culture quite unique. Diverse culture of India has the treasure of variety of folk dances in regions across the country.

IFDC's motive is to provide the live platform to the Folklore of INDIA which was elapsed with the modernization of the Society.

IFDC aims to showcase the richest cultural heritage of INDIA before the World Folklore Artists of International Ethnic Folklore Festival and of course to the audience of Indian Art Lovers.

To extend and to engage the youth in the field of our own forgotten Folk dances. To aware the youth of colleges, universities,dance academies, studios,Clubs,Training institutes the importance of Folklore of India.

This competition drags the attention of Indian Youth as the participants and their families and friends as the audiences of IEFF.

Indian Folk Groups interested to participate at the IFDC 2021 – INDIA, must submit the application form along with participation fee of 5,000Rs.

Entry is open to all the residents of INDIA.

Groups should register their Folk dance form and the Folk Song within a week of the application form submission.

Dance groups should be of minimum of 12-16 members. If the Performance is live then the dancers on stage should be minimum 12 members only. Exceptions will be permitted with prior permission.

Music Groups should be of minimum of 10 members.

Minimum age of the Group members should be of 12+.

Dance groups has the right to opt the Folk Compositions/ Songs from Bollywood too. Note: Markings for Bollywood songs will be relatively low when compared to ethnic folk songs.

Complete and submit the entry form including the YouTube link or photos of your group.

Entries that do not comply in full with these entry rules and conditions will be disqualified.

Eligible Group will be displayed in the IEFF website under IFDC Tab.

The Organizers of IFDC-2021 will not provide any travel, food or accommodation expenses incurred.

The organizers reserve the rights to make any changes in the format of the dance competition, Venue, timings, which will be informed through the email.

The participant agrees to sign these terms and conditions and confirms to agree to abide by the same as mentioned.

Groups should represent any Indian state folk Dance & Music.

Closing date: All entries must be received by May 15th 2021 for June Edition & Aug 30th 2021 for October Edition/ Applications will be open till we get 10-12 groups (Whichever would be earlier) .

June 18th, 19th, 20th & OCTOBER 22nd, 23rd & 24th 2021

The competition will run from 05:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Groups will be allotted one day on the above mentioned dates.

Group has to prepare one dance item with 5 minutes of duration. (Excess time will not be allotted to any group).If time exceeds only 5 minutes performance will be taken in to the consideration.

Winners will be announced on the closing ceremony - 20th Jun for June edition and 24th Oct for October edition, 2021.

The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. A panel of highly qualified, competent judges will judge all performances. All contestants, teachers and parents agree that the method of judging shall be solely within the discretion of the directors of IFDC and that all decisions of the judges are final.

Participants or their corresponding members are not liable to challenge the decision of the Judges through any media under any circumstances, if so they will face the legal charges from the organization.

Marking will be on creative use of space and time Synchronization, Formations, Expressions, Dancing moves, Costumes, music Instruments (Note : Modern and fusion dance items will not be entertained).

50% marking from the 3 International Folklore Group Directors/Masters and 50% marking from Indian Folklore Judges.

The winner will receive Cash Prizes of Rs.20,000 (1st Prize), Rs.10,000 (2nd Prize), Rs.5,000 (3rd Prize) along with the participation certificate. IFDC Trophy will be give to the first prize winner only.

All the participant Groups will get the Participation Certificates.

All the groups will equally be covered on Social media platforms and on Website Listings too.
